Memoji, simply put, is Apple’s version of Samsung’s AR Emoji or Snapchat’s Bitmoji. You can make them look exactly like you or even a different version of yourself thanks to its ability to create yellow skin, red hair, an afro, a cowboy hat, and much more.
As you make adjustments to your Memoji character to suit your preference, whether changing the size of its head, the shape of the nose, or the color of its eye, you will see the changes applied to the Memoji in real-time thanks to Messages’ built-in Memoji builder tool.
If you want to create a Memoji, you will need Apple’s Message app, with iOS 12 software or later installed on an iOS device that features the TrueDepth camera system. iPhones that fall in this category include iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max and can all be used to make your Memoji.
Even if Memojis, the customized 3D emojis native to Apple’s iPhone and iPad can be very fun to use, not everyone sees it this way. If you don’t like Memojis, then there is no point having them occupy so much space on your iPhone or iPad, given you may already be low on storage space.
Want to get rid of them and free up space on your iPhone or iPad? Well, you can disable it completely. While you can just ignore the Memoji option on the keyboard, turning it off means that you will no longer see the Memoji options and it will no longer be available to use in any way. Not to worry, though, you can re-enable the Memoji feature whenever you change your mind. Anyway, read on to learn how to turn off Memojis on your iPhone or iPad.
